Common Ground is an ethnographic research journal for those seeking to understand cultures deeply in order to faithfully and clearly share their own faith.

This is the third in the series of Missional Journals produced by Backpack Journals. They are designed as a learning tool, a record of self learning and discovery. There are instructional Videos on the Backpack Journals web site and Youtube page. You can use this journal is several ways.

First as it was designed to take with you when living in a people group other than your own so that you can discover and understand their culture. In this way you will be able to present the Gospel message in a more clear and respectful manner. Some may use it sequentially, others may use it for various needs as they arise. You may work through it individually, with team member or as a group.

Second, some may use it as a learning tool for teaching courses on cross cultural communication and cultural  discovery. In this case only parts would be filled in, but a good overall understanding of this discipline would be gained.
